Pattern Request...GRANTED!

There was a request for the pattern that my sis-in-law, Julie, used for the Princess Tent she made & being the AMAZING girl she is, she brought over the pattern...so I could share with YOU
and
use it for ME if I wanted...cuz LOOK!
It CAN BE a BOY tent too!

McCall's Pattern #M5827

----------------------------

If you decide to make one, I'd LOVE to see pictures of the finished product!

And someone also asked if she made the pillow???
No. She bought it at Cost Plus World Market...but it looks like she made it, since it matches PERFECTLY!

BUT...I did look and there IS a pattern to make the pillow mat for the floor INCLUDED in this pattern...so you CAN make one yourself!

Love the cute pockets inside...

Thanks Julie!!!

I have ANOTHER fun project from Julie that I will be posting SOON!!!

  5. I've seen this floating around Pinterest & blogworld and loved it. I hit Joann's pattern sale and got it for $1.99!!!! Can't wait to give it a try but need to find some gender neutral fabric since I'm only make 1 for my kids (a boy and girl)! Will post pictures (if it comes out OK) :-)

  6. I can't find that floor pillow at cost plus world market, but I want to buy something like it. Do you know the dimensions of it?

  7. I'm sure a bean bag would be a cute alternative for the matt

  8. It looks like the cushions used with a papas on (sp?) chair. Pier 1 carries those.

  9. Its a papasan cushion!!! They sell them at World Market and Pier1. I just happen to have a papasan cushion laying around that I was going to yard sale. But I'm making this for our play room instead! Thanks for the idea :)

  12. You can probably find the pattern on Etsy.com or can make it without a pattern, very simple to do just use the dimensions of the hoola hoop:)

  15. Hello. I thought that I had posted a question yesterday but see that it is not here....hmmm....don't know what I did wrong? Anyway, I am making the very same tent for my granddaughter and am having a dreadful time with the canopy and body of the tent matching up in width.
I used the 1/2 seam allowance as noted on pattern but they do not match up in width. Did you have a similar issue with this pattern or is it "user" issue?
The scallop matched up perfectly with the canopy top but the canopy is waaaay too wide for the body. I could actually take a section of the canopy out and it would probably fit...but the scallop would not. *****Big frown here****

I hope that you can tell me if you had any issues with the tent as well.
By the way, that tent is beautiful in the above picture. I love the color palatte.

  22. I cant find the pattern either, just a pic of which pattern it is. Did you share the pattern? or just show people which pattern you used?

  23. Love it, got the pattern super cheep but it takes 13 yards of fabric so even at 3 dollars a yard if you are lucky it will be forty dollars. So far I have spent fifty five. Hope it turns out as nice.
