Master Bedroom-need input!

It is FALL BREAK this week!
I was GOING TO the cabin for the entire week to escape, but I've decided to stay home and WORK instead????
What am I thinking?

It is FUN work though!

I want to decorate our Master Bedroom & don't teach preschool this week, so I really want to tackle it!

Here is the thing.
I have gone through every single color scheme in the WORLD for our Master Bedroom. I'm not exaggerating. And YELLOW and GREY were NOWHERE on any of the lists, but randomly last week I have decided that is exactly the colors I want.

The problem:
Every time I tell someone I want to do it yellow & grey(including my husband),
they look at my like I am CRAZY!

Am I crazy???

It isn't like I want to do the whole room a dark grey...I want a LOT of WHITE, with greys & yellows & maybe some fun blue accents thrown in??

Here are some pictures I have saved for inspiration...what do you think?
Be HONEST.
Do you have a killer color scheme that I should choose instead & throw my YELLOW & GREY idea out???

Disclaimer: I have NO IDEA where these images are from! I was googling images to get ideas & I saved them, but never saved the links. So PLEASE, if you know where they are from...leave a comment & I will add a link!

  1. I totally love the idea!! If your husband is anything like mine.. he thinks I am pretty much crazy all the time until he sees the finished result and then he is always amazed at how good it looks. :)

  2. I love the combo!!
I've actually been seeing a lot of yellow, white, and gray combos lately, so I think it's definitely not crazy!

I'm doing my son's nursery in yellow, orange, and gray, but the walls are light blue so I'm adding a ton!

    Good luck!

  9. It's certainly a new trendy color pallet and I think it's great! Not weird at all. I like the feeling the colors convey.

  11. I think it pretty. Don't know if you like to watch HGTV and the show Sarah's House, but she did a bathroom in those exact colors! It was AMAZING!! The episode is the Farmhouse Bathroom. Here is a link to their website, you might be able to see the episode on there, if you havent seen it!

  12. I love this color scheme! So cute! I like the idea of lots of white incorporated. Did you see All Things Thrifty? Her master bedroom is super cute, too!!

Here's my two cents (for whatever it's worth)... I painted my kitchen walls gray at one time & it made me sad. Weird, huh? Talk about the weird one over here. I never even thought of the color of my walls affecting my mood in some way. LOL!

Can't wait to see what you do! Anything you touch turns out fabulous!

  13. I was drooling over the same pic in a magazine I had. I'm pretty sure it was pier 1 or pottery barn. I think those are the two main ones I get. I'll let you know when I go home and check it.
