Lucky-Spring

As I was preparing my preschool activities for this week...I was deciding on a fun St. Patty's day craft the kids could do & I was playing around with a few things.

Then I got distracted{surprise, surprise} and decided I wanted to make a St. Patty's decoration for MY HOUSE!

So I grabbed a piece of green scrapbook paper & cut out a shamrock...

Then I grabbed a wood round from the garage (making clocks comes in handy at times!)

And painted it green...

Stuck the shamrock on, while the paint was still wet (no reason to use glue in this case)...
Then smudged some green paint on the edges of the shamrock...
Cut the word LUCKY out of white vinyl, dabbed on some glitter, painted a few green hearts I had, drilled a hole in the top & strung some green ribbon through & soon had a St. Patty's decoration for my front porch!

But wait! Why waste the OTHER SIDE of the wood round?
So I gave it a purple coat, cut a circle out of scrapbook paper & some flowers to match, started to cut the words HAPPY EASTER on my cricut...but decided if I did SPRING I could leave it up longer, since Easter is on April 4th this year...

Now I have a little GREEN DECOR to brighten up my front door...

& after St. Patrick's day, I will just flip it around!
