The Kitchen...

We just want to mark our progress on our home since October, when we moved in our home, so I am positing BEFORE & AFTER pics of our house throughout the week. I already posted the before & after of our new WHITE cabinets in this post, but thought I would show the rest of the kitchen today...

BEFORE Eating Nook from MLS Listing:

AFTER picture of Eating Nook
I still LOVE the "Board & Batten" & it was so easy & cheap!

Adios! Brown Paneling!I really don't know what to do with that little section of counter to the right??? Any ideas??
What is it for???
I'd really like to knock it out...but since we aren't re-doing our flooring anytime soon...it will have to wait.
It just fills up with mail & clutter & I HATE IT!

Any suggestions on what do with it???

stace you could make that like an office space- where you keep a calendar, family files, mail, computer & printer. you probably already have an area for that though!

Okay, I have to tell you, my first though when I saw the after picture (after seeing the before) was "WOW" I am pretty sure I said it out loud too. Great job, that looks so beautiful!! I love the molding in that spot. I am going to have to poke around your blog a bit, it already looks worthwhile :)

I think that little areas would be a cute "bar area, maybe wine rack, nice tray with glasses, shaker and ice bucket? I have always wanted a bar.. ;)

You have done a great job. It looks so much bigger and brighter. I can see you are a minimalist I wish i could be one. We are doing our kitchen make over in a few weeks. I'm lying, we are getting professionals in to do it. I must remember to take some before and after shots too.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the changes. The house has just opened up and brightened with your projects. You have a good eye for seeing what's possible.

I know all about the counter that is the junk collector. I think every home has one. :)

Thank you so much for linking to Woo Hoo! Wednesday and joining the fun!

Wow! You were really able to see the potential of this house. What a great vision. Turned out fab! As for the bar, I like all the suggestions. I saw a cappucino bar once that was really cute. I'm sure you'll figure out something and it'll look great.
