Framed Memory Clock

My parents leave for Honduras tomorrow to pick up my brother, Tate. He has been serving a LDS Church Mission for the past 2 years & it is TIME for him to come home! My parents wanted to travel to see where my brother has been living & serving for the past couple of years & are excited to meet many of the people that Tate has been in contact with! They wanted to give his Mission President (a couple called to help serve in a specific area to oversee the missionary work & to TRY to keep those missionaries in line;) something to say THANK YOU when they go visit & asked me if I could make a clock.

Another one of my brothers(...I have FOUR!), Rob, owns an INCREDIBLE Custom Framing Business, so he whipped up a beautiful Square Custom Frame & handed it over to me...

I cut vinyl using my Cricut & the Software, "Make The Cut" & applied to a square piece of painted wood. I then drilled a hole for the clock mechanism & attached the hands.
Wah La!
A thoughtful Thank You Gift for the Mission President, with the Mission Name & the years they served...
to act as a beautiful reminder of the years they spent in Honduras, serving so diligently!

You probably have an old frame sitting around your house, that you could re-purpose into a clock!
If you don't want to spend the money or time on vinyl, you could easily PAINT it & clock hands/mechanisms are available at Michaels or Hobby Lobby!

I hate to tell you this, but mission is spelled wrong :( Can it be easily fixed? Such a fabulous idea, and a GORGEOUS clock! I know they'll love it. *B

Mission is supposed to be "spelled wrong"...the mission name is written in Spanish, see the accent over the O? Honduras and Tegucigalpa are also in written in Spanish:)
