Every ceiling fan in our house will eventually be replaced, but seeing as how money does not grow on trees...we have slowly been switching them out. The kitchen & bedrooms probably won't happen for a long time, but this beauty in the Master bedroom HAD to go!:)
It was even worse after scraping the popcorn ceilings, because when we went to paint the ceiling...the glass dome thingy got splattered, along with the blades, on top of all the popcorn ceiling dust & they just looked filthy! Who knows what has been blowing around in that room for the past month! yuck.
Matt ran to Lowe's & picked up a simple white ceiling fan & hung it yesterday & I already love it a million times better!
I've noticed on most of those design redo shows one of the first things to go in a Master Bedroom is the ceiling fan...replaced with a gorgeous chandelier. I would LOVE a pretty light fixture or a chandelier above our bed...but not likely as long as we live in HOT AZ! A ceiling fan is essential...we are in November & still sleeping with it ON!
So...anyone want our old fan??? :)

Hahahaha I JUST ripped out the exact (your old) fan and threw it in the dumpster! We havent found our replacement yet but it will be another fan. I would love to do the pretty chandelier too but I love keeping my electric bill low in the summer even more! Cheaper then air conditioning for sure.Ü
BTW we are scraping popcorn right now too.Lol
Thanks for sharing that! Nice post. I just glanced through it.

The celing fans are why we bought our house. No A/c, so we need the fan to survive the summer.
