I have seen these FAMILY frames & knew I needed one for my house!
I found the one below HERE but wasn't about to pay for it...
plus I wanted larger frames, to hang across one of my many blank walls in my house.

and another one HERE
Well...I decided to give it a shot on my own & see how cheap I could keep the project.
I decided that instead of vinyl, I could use black cardstock & cut it with my cricut & save some money there
& I dug around and found some old frames in the closet that weren't being used & spray painted them black.

I only found 3 frames though, so I ended up going to Walmart & bought 3 more(I could have found them at the $1 store, but I was already at Walmart) They were $2 a piece & already black & they came with a white mat inside...which I decided I liked!
Then I decided to put scrapbook paper behind the letters. Because I decided to go the FREE route & not use vinyl, I needed something for my paper letters to STICK TO. I actually really like what the paper added to project....
I used 6 different designs of grey scrapbook paper & cut down to fit inside frames.

What Cricut cartridge did you use?
Great job (btw)!
So cute!! I wanted to do that a little while ago but didn't have the letters!! Love it!!
Um, I love these. I have seen those too and have been wanting to make them, but didn't want to pay for the vinyl. But I have a ton of scrapbook paper. We need to have a play date and you can help me decorate my house. You are so cute! -Carrie
WOW! I love this and totally love the price. Something more to add to my craft list. OH NO :) I think it's going on my handmade Christmas list for next year also. Thanks :)
That looks great and such an easy project! Thanks! ~Lisa
